Acceptance

On January 15, 2010 I received an e-mail from the YWAM registrar informing me I have been accepted into the PhotogenX DTS school in Kona, Hawaii. God has opened the door to this amazing opportunity in my life so that I may use my photography talent He has given me to use in the mission field, making God's name known. This program is six months long. The beginning of the program will include an in-depth and intensive study of the Bible, focusing on 'knowing God and making Him known'. Immediately following, I will be going on a three-month outreach to a third world nation, serving in places like feeding centers, orphanages, HIV/AIDS clinics, brothels, and the streets. PhotogenX focuses on using photography and digital media to communicate issues of injustice, advocating awareness, and fighting for change. It strongly focuses on global issues such as human trafficking, HIV/AIDS, female genital mutilation, and infanticide.
On April 8, 2010 i will be flying out to Kona and who knows if i will ever come back to Idaho to live. Wherever God wants me to serve from here on out, I will go. I am so excited God has given me the opportunity to be a part of this and I want to share every bit of it with you. So stay in touch with my blog as the months go on as i will be posting news, photos, information etc. Thank you for all your prayer and support!
